Trillium front dinette modification

I just recently bought a 2010 Trillium Outback. It had the extended galley but I wanted a front dinette. I have removed the extended galley, got all the cushions needed for front dinette configuration and have table top and support leg. My question is that when I place the table top on the leg it appears to be a tight fit to sit on the drivers side. I would like to have the table top move side to side. Anyone found an easy way to make this work?

We mounted the front dinette on a pedestal to allow for movement and so we could take it up at night to give the dog some extra floor space. So far it has worked well. Raz

p.s. Please share some picture of your mod when it is done. I'd love to see it as I am sure others would.

Maybe something as simple as a chair swivel mounted to the bottom? Between it and the pedestal...
