Thanks to all for your comments.

Robert: I did use a skill saw and I would have to do it again I would go with your dremel idea because the job is great but would have been better with a less agressive tool.

I just completed the ''Project'' ouf what a huge amount of time but worth the effort as the final result look great for us.

Added a 3 way fridge, a water pump etc. Fully independant with a class 31 batterie that is supose to be good for a full 3 day autonomy.

Only thing missing is a solar panel that will come one of these day.

Here are some pics of the final result.

We are going on a kiteboading tour for the summer so that is why there are so many stickers

Got a chance to sleep in the Uhaul on christmas eve at -15 and the heating system works great. No mod or insulation and the temperature inside was 22. This will be a great way to stay around the ski slope!!!

Great to hear back that you are using and enjoying your UHaul. Do you still have the original furnace?

Great work! I'm assuming your temperatures are in Celsius? At 22 degrees C, that is about 71 degrees F. Really toasty! We have done the same thing in March in South Dakota. Almost 0 outside and our ceramic heater and heating strip in the roof AC made it very nice, even with the wind howling.
