I don't really understand it, but for some people, one 5.5 oz cup of non instant a day suffices.

I'm not one of them.

If you are a drip-cone afficionado (I'm not) the Clever Coffee dripper lets you control brewing time.

Amazon.com: Clever Coffee Dripper: Kitchen & Dining

I have had Via but don't particularly like it- not any better than Tasters Choice, still has that instant flavor.

I am not one either, Roy. I have at least 2 10 oz cups a day, and often more. Though, only occasionally do I drink it past noon, other than a desert cappuccino.

Those are great little drip brewers. The advantage of this, or any Melita type, over an electric one is that you can actually use hot (but not boiling) water for full extraction. If you grind fresh, these things make an excellent cup.

I was addicted to Keurig but decided it was just to big to bring in my Casita. I bought a Mellita single drip and now use it at home too. I use my Keurig for iced coffee and the occasional quick cup to go. I'm intrigued by the clever coffee dripper and may have to try it though I'm not sure if I can wait an extra 4 minutes for the first cup
