Under seat AC unit

I'm looking to put an AC back under the seat of my U Haul CT 13. What are you using in your camper and how is it mounted? Ca you post pictures? How well does it cool being under the seat?

This is where I have to mount it.

This is an interesting idea, and i am going to do more checking on this to do the same in my rebuild.but why vent through the side of the camper, that can be a place for leaks. Going through the floor with your vents there would be no leaks.

just my thoughts.

i have a hammer, nails, and duck tape. I can fix it.

I did one sort of like that in my scamp 13. Key considerations are things like how are you getting enough cool ambient air in, getting hot air out, water drainage, and just making everything fit. I also wanted to minimize holes in the exterior fiberglass so I went out the bottom.

View from the outside is below. The arrow points to a minimally visible vent.

A thread with more details is here. Feel free to ask questions if I can help.

Chris; See if you can find a post by" George Lauvers," He did a great CT 13 AC install exactly where your cutout is. He used deck plates to form intake and exhaust ports. I'l search to see if I can find his post. Mike
