Vinyl Plank Flooring...

I'm thinking of some flooring ideas for the Trillium. Has anyone used new Vinyl Plank Flooring? It looks like it would be a good choice. Let me know....thanks.

Allure at the depot, best stuff going. Easy install, durable, easy to clean. Getting ready to put it in my second trailer.

Yup... Allure is a piece of cake and really comes out looking nice. Finish it off with some nice trim and you have a really good looking floor.

I also installed Allure vinyl flooring in our trillium. I found a pattern and colour which closely matched the cabinets. It was easy to install and looked great.

Hey Phil, which way did you run the planks (parallel or perpendicular with the fridge)? Thanks.

Hi Clayton,

I ran it lengthwise to the trailer. Incidentally, I've seen others use quarter round to finish the edges which is fine, but if you take your time and use a sharp knife, you can get very neat edges leaving a very small gap for expansion and not need to encroach into the very limited floor space with quarter round.

The floor looks really good. We wondered about using it in our Trillium but so far haven't changed the flooring at all. We enjoy the 'warm and soft' feel of the carpet though it doesn't look too great right now. Also we have both fallen when we slipped on laminate in other peoples' homes. Have you noticed that it is slippery or is the area so small that you don't really slide much?

Finally got the new Allure flooring installed. It was a bit of a chore removing the old vinyl floor (I think the previous owner used 10 gallons of contact cement!!!). Turned out really good. Still need to do a couple of finishing touches but really happy with the result!

Coincidentally I just picked up a few boxes of Allure from the Habitat Restore to use in my 73 Boler. Any tips on the install? I was told that tin snips and a good boxcutter work well to shape. Did anyone use adhesives?

All I used was a square, boxcutter (with fresh blades) and a scissor. It was really easy to work with. I used 2 way tape around the perimeter to hold it in place with a slight gap around the edges.
