Well the awning off the the garage is done!
Fluffer-Nugget has a nice dry place to spend her winters.
I think the hubby and I did a fabulous job and it looks cool too!

Looks good, however I caution those of us who live in thunderstorm country NOT to do it that way.

At our local airport I saw an attached hangar roof levitate and land in the woods. The hangar next door was lifted completely off the pad and left the airplane untouched and unprotected.

I rigged a canopy on the front of the main hanger for our fly in. A thunderstorm came around and ripped it to smithereens and wrecked the supports. These were tird down with heavy ropes.

Just a word of caution from someone who saw it happen.

Judith has a point, I live in a windy area. But, I think it will be fine as long as the side/front/back stay open. It's like opening windows in a home to equalize the air pressure during hurricanes.

I'm going to enclose one side of my carport, but leave an airspace about six inches the entire length. I wouldn't dare enclose three sides. One good wind and it might end up in the next county.
