window gravel guard on rear window too??

obviously not much gravel to be protecting from but we plan on turning the front guard into an awning and was wondering if anyone ever put a guard on the rear window primarily to be used as an awning? pics?

and i guess on that same note... how does a rigged up awning perform in the rain? does it drip between the awning and body? any other "things to watch out for"?? Thanks

Trillium had a rear rock guard / awning as a standard option. Not many have it, but I think it is a good idea.

What I am wondering is WHY didn't they put a window on the front of the Bigfoot that would open where the rock guard is? That would be awesome when it's raining and you'd like a window open. I'm trying to think of ways to have awnings over each window so they can just be closed at night time to make it darker inside. Playing with the idea for now since we've got more important things to do to this camper to get her ready for camping.

OH AND the back window, it doesn't open either.

If it did open, you would likely find your trailer full of dust or water. If you are a NASCAR fan, think "drafting". The suction at the rear of your trailer would draw water and dirt into the interior.

I've already purchased an additional rock guard for the back window of our Scamp. Considering it as a location for some of our solar panel plans.

Working on a removable awning kit that will include everything but the fabric. Fabric will slide in and out of a VHB mounted track, bottom is attached to trailer with suction cups. Should have it ready next month. Looks pretty much like these pics but I want to have the supports adjustable.
