Phil/Denise: I am new to this website and therefore, the prior posting absent of information!

I have a 2008 Casita 17' SD. I am very interested in knowing how the window screens were removed for the tinting application.

Gene, the webmaster on the "new" Casita site stated to drill out the two (2) rivets on the vertical bar.

ANY assistance you may provide would be greatly appreciated. It get's hot here in Texas and I know the value of window tinting.

Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge.

yes, you have to drill out 2 rivets per screen and then there is enough room to tint the whole window, without the screen being in the way for the tinter. The window that has the fire escape has a normal window screen that just pops out

if you look at this pic , this is how much room is needed to tint the whole window.. I had this one done on my older casita and didnt remove the screen.. they were able to tint 95% of the window with the screen in place

Phil: Thanks for the reply and valued information. Someday I will recognize the reason for the non-removable screens! Probably deals with saving a few pennies.
