Hi Marcel! Welcome to FiberglassRV.. we're glad you're here! I just noticed, this is your first post.

Randy's trailer is great... and we hope you find lots of inspiration from all the posts you read.

Sue, Henry, Donna & Marcel

Thanks or the generous comments. I got involved with this bunch of nuts (no offence intended, you know you are) a few years ago when my son bought a Boler and asked me to help him with the wiring. I have a knack for that sort of thing so I was happy to lend a hand. He was in a hurry to get his 74 ready to camp so it quickly developed into new cupboard doors, flooring, rivets everywhere etc. Then it was, "when are you getting your Boler dad?" The next thing I remember is looking at this gutted 75 with all the parts stuffed inside and shelling out $1000 for it. My son said "the frame is good, the body is good, buy it."
I have no regrets whatsoever. I was overwhelmed initially but I have a cool and cozy trailer that beats the heck out of the tenting experiences of the past 35 years. I just wish I had caught on earlier. That being said, every time I look at the work others on this site are doing I am amazed. A bunch of very creative nuts indeed!

You have done an amazing job! I may be in need of your expertise as I continue my complete restore of the 72 Boler I purchased last fall. I am in Okotoks, so nice and close to all of the suppliers you are familiar with...
I'm thinking I may be in touch soon for advice, as I'm getting closer to the "put it back together" stage of the project.

Randy,
Can you give me an idea of how easy/complicated & costly (shipping & brokerage fees) it is to order items from Scamp and Vintage RV?
I need hinges & a door handle for sure. Also thinking about getting: striker plate, white door trim, metal door threshold, door drip cap, rubber beading & lockstrip for the two plexi windows, and the kitchen wrought iron support from Scamp.
Looking at getting the "specialized low profile" Fantastic Vent from Vintage Trailer.
I am worried about how much the brokerage fees will increase the costs of ordering these items from the States!
I know the Trillium Outback place sells some of this stuff but his prices seem to be high....
for any advice/input you have on this....

Bonnie and Claude. Thanks for the kind comment. My Boler seems to be enjoying its new life on the road.

All Play & No Work

I stopped working on the trailer and did some serious camping this summer. Here are some shots after a dusty drive on gravel roads to do some fishing on the Oldman river. I can't overstate how much I love the whole experience.

All Play & No Work 2

I travelled many miles up and down the foothills and into the mountains to places I haven't been for many years and fishing spots that were almost forgotten. The Boler didn't seem to mind any of it including the rough gravel roads. Local hikers might recognize these scenes.

Wow awesome job. I am doing a complete remodel of a 1971 Boler and hope mine turns out as nice as yours did. Glad you finally got it out camping.
