Here's some more options, depending on what you want.

Excuse me but I'm talking Ford tail lights, not Chevy and it looks like I'm going to install the 56' Ford tail lights.

excuse me, but you also mentioned led, which they aren't. I also said "depending on what you want".

Hopefully the led bulbs will work for you. I threw my new led bulbs out the first time I tried them, and went for led lights.

Well if they don't, then I'll go to plan 'B' and install Halogen bulbs. Thanks for the warning.

I like the 55's, but probably since I once owned one. Now I have some early 60's Fairlanes so would probably use those tail lights. Funny thing about led lights, when they started putting led marker lights on big trucks I had more drivers tell me they had a light out that was actually on. The light didn't seem very bright from standing next to the truck, everyone was used to looking at the two bulb markers.

Yeah, I think the original ones were pretty poor.

The ones I put on are brighter than the lights on the pickup.

Tail lights.

Brake lights.

Backup lights:

Since you have a '56 truck, go with the '56.

Now you've got me. How do you know about my truck?

And for those that haven't seen my truck, here's a pic.

Aw, now I know who you are. I do believe we've also been to a couple of the same gatherings. Do you still have the teardrop? I've still got mine plus the Dalton. Now with the Burro I'll have three but will most likely be using the Burro the most. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, it's supposed to come out of paint this week so I can start putting it back together. I'm still good on time. Nothing planned until October, then there are two rallies.

We been to a couple at Shasta and a couple in the redwoods together. I sold the tear to buy a trailer I could take both of my daughters camping at the same time.
