Zombie Apocalypse spotted
Saw this one off unit today and it looks like a real go anywhere rig. RV part was from a 2003 Bigfoot B17CB. Owner said he was headed to the Baja for the winter.

I wonder how he opens the stone guard?

It was all very cool actually. Totally a very functional unit, maybe the look doesnt suit everyone but I am good with it. Under the tarp on the rear deck was a KLR650, and the rear deck was lowered by a hydraulic tailgate lift. The fender well on the door side was rigged up with a fold down BBQ. It also had a heater that ran on diesel. And the list of mods was huge. Look at all the LED light bars, wow thatll easily turn night to day! And no, the stone guard could not be raised...however in 10 years of owning my Bigfoot Ive only raised the stone guard to wash under it. Great for the outback for sure.

Looks like it's packing 4 huge solar panels on the topside (if the rear one is also a panel. Wonder if one of the front ones slides forward when camped.

I only see one solar panel, on the front of the trailer. The cover on the rear doesnt have any wiring under it so Im guessing it is not solar.

Well, we did have a question recently about mounting and hauling things on the roof of a fiberglass trailer...

My basis for 4 panels guess is the diamond pattern aluminum wrap on the edges of the 4 pieces. Wires are easy to hide.

those cab-over utility trucks, like Fusos, are not very comfortable to ride in, you're practically sitting on the engine, so they are loud and harsh riding. They mostly get used for short haul local delivery and such, I'd hate to be spending 8 hours going somewhere in one.

I saw this one at the Valley of Fire in Nevada last year... based on the Casita 17:

I have a 2WD Chevy Kodiak-based moho and I've thought it'd be really fun to do a 4WD conversion... of course it still wouldn't be a true "expedition vehicle" since the moho is actually connected to the cab... it wouldn't allow the frame to twist as much as it would need to do actually go off road... not that's stopped me much even with 2WD...

In January of 2017 on a cross-country trip, I ran across this Kodiak-based expedition truck in a campground. While not a fiberglass RV, it was a true four-seasons rig and had been to Tierra Del Fuego and back. The occupants had been full-timing in it for about three and a half years. They towed a Jeep.

the thing is, all those expedition beasts, they are way too heavy for offroading.
my kid has pulled Mercedes MOGs out of the mud/clay using his 6x6 5 ton army truck.. nothin like 48" tractor tires and 6 wheel drive, hah!

We camped our blue Nemo across from this man who worked as a traveling chef from CO. I think. Quite a rig! He must have had to climb some mountains in Colorado.
