San Lorenzo Regional Park, which is located in King City, CA.

King City (variant: Kings City) is a city in Monterey County, California, United States. King City is located on the Salinas River 51 miles (82 km) southeast of Salinas, at an elevation of 335 feet (102 m). It lies along U.S. Route 101 in the Salinas Valley of the Central Coast of California. The population was 12,874 at the 2010 census.

King City was my hometown until a few years ago. The weather should be nice. Just wanted to let you'all know that it is usually windy in the afternoon so you will need a jacket and tie down your stuff.. The wind is why the weather is nice as it cools the valley. The Salinas valley is John Steinbeck country and there is a nice museum in Salinas. Of course, a trip to 17 mile drive should be a buck list item. Nice 9 hole golf course there too!

We've been to this rally numerous times, and enjoyed it every time. Missed last year because of an overseas trip, but will be back this year.

San Lorenzo is a large park. We have room. When you know that you're coming, email or text, so we can make room for you. email and text info are in the announcement. (1st post - this thread)

For everyone going to the King City Fiberglass Rally next week-if you play a ukulele (or guitar or .....) and want to jam, let's meet up during the rally. If you have a uke and are a beginner or haven't even picked it up, I'd be glad to do a very beginner class to get you started. I don't play that well, but know enough to help. Bring some copies of songs to share and play.
