2014, Aug.15-17: Manitoba Fiberglass & Vintage Camper Rally,

We would like to invite you all to the 5th Annual Manitoba Fiberglass and Vintage Camper Rally

Open to all Boler, Trillium, Surfside, Scamp, Ventura, Teardrops welcome as well, ect….

Dates: August 15 to 17, 2014

Location: St Malo Provincial Park; located 45 minutes South of Winnipeg and 45 minutes North of the Canada/USA border on Highway 59. This park has a nice beach area along with hiking and biking trails. There are modern washrooms and showers and the small town of St Malo is within one mile.

We will be using Bay 11 for electrical (Note all electrical site in the park are SOLD OUT already for this weekend) and Section A for Non-electrical again this year for the Rally. With a -32 and -41 windchill this morning, it sure was nice to see this come up today! Can summer and traveling be too far off? Have put it on the calendar and hope to be able to make it this year. Thanks again for organizing!

Hi Maureen. Yes I have been asked by a number of people if it was still on so I posted the invite a month early. Yes the weather here is bitter cold as well. Knowing a Rally is in the works makes the winter a little shorter hoping that the 4 letter word "SNOW" will go away and we can hit the camp grounds again.

Are you going to Rally in Macklin SK? I am trying to get a convoy of campers together and head there for the 3rd weekend of July.

Rick

Hi Rick,

Yes we are planning on going to the Macklin event, although it conflicts with a geocaching event that is happening on the same weekend. But have cached that area, so the Macklin event wins out!

With our bitter cold weather it is only just a month and half till the trailer shows! Spring is around the corner!

Would be great to see a caravan of trailers come from your area to Sask. It would be like the Wagons Ho event we went to in Ontario. Hope to see you in July.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi Rick

Same here, looking forward to meeting the great folks and seeing the awesome trailers in your area.

We have attended the Prairie Egg Gathering for the past few years, but this year we decided to go to the Oregon Gathering which unfortunately is on the same weekend. So we will miss the Macklin event ...Mackiln will be in our calendar for 2015.

Dispite of the risk of being 'shusssshed' the Storgards will be at st. Malo ;-). And are discussing the possibility of Macklin. Summer can't come soon enough !!!

Hi Scott. Yes the weather maybe bad but alot of companies push you to get vacation time booked early in the year so I get the notice out there so people are reminded to book thier time off for summer fun.

Hi Nadine, my first trailer was a Surfside also. Loved it but bought a 1978 Biggar when it came up for sale. What is the serial number of yours? I'm trying to figure out what number our trailers came off the assembly line. Maybe? Lol thanks, Marina

Thanks Nadine. Are you sure it's B170 and not BI70? Mine is BI41
