Too late for Newbie's to attend

Howdy. First time owners of 1987 13' Lil Big Foot... Is it too late to join the rally? I understand all B sites are gone, but plenty in E section. Awaiting your reply.
Cheers
Bob & Annie

Hi Bob and Annie,
Never too late for fun . Of course you can join us!
Either get a spot in Egret, it's closest or wait till someone cancels in Bass, If you feel like calling every day or so to see if anyone calls and cancels.
There is another camp section next to Bass but it does NOT have hookups. Feel.free to PM me if you have any other questions.
Paula

Hi All! I just made a reservation to join you all. We will be in Egret. We are new to this forum and looking forward to meeting other fiberglass owners!

Smile Can I come visit at Lake Casitas?

Hi I am currently looking for lightweight fiberglass trailer and live only 20 miles from Lake Casitas. I would love to come by and talk to some of you folks and learn more about these cute Casita trailers. My husband passed away recently and I ended up in the hospital for 4 months after a hip replacement that went bad. So I need advice on what to look for and get my little egg so I can join in on the fun too.

Sure hope everyone can make it to the RAlly at Lake Casitas. I am so looking forward to meeting and having campfire discussions on all things trailer. I have been working on mine for almost year and camping at the same time. Have learned some valuable lessons. First one... don't go backwoods camping without your cabinets installed. Things to tend to move on rough roads and will all end up on the floor. What was I thinking?
See Y'all Soon!

Welcome to FGRV Evelyn. The best place to get info is at a rally. Please go to the Lake Casitas rally....you're so close too. Most all owners are very happy to show their TTs and answer any questions you may have. Saturday is pretty much the day for "open house" but I doubt anyone will be hard lined on that. Go and have a great time .

Thank you so much for letting me come by and see your rigs at the Lake Casita rally. I will learn a lot from meeting some of you. I will come by on Saturday. What area of the lake will you be camping at? Its a huge lake area. Thanks, Evelyn

Staying in Egret at Lake Casitas

We weren't able to get into Bass, but we got into Egret...please add Taoward Lee and Bonnie Copeland, 1996 Bigfoot, to the list of people attending the rally.

Bass campground is closest to the main entrance. Immediate left as you enter the park. You won't miss us. Can't miss a whole bunch of white eggs arranged the center grass field.

I'm new to this and don't mind dry camping as I have full solar capability. 2002 Casita LD in Creekside campsite 32. Jim (only)

Creekside 1

I checked our reservation...we're not in Egret. We're in Creekside #1, right near the bathroom!

Hey I'm in Creekside site #9. Going to try out the total solar set up! You'll recognize me by the headlamp, if I don't figure out the wiring to the existing lights😀If we can request topics for fireside discussions - I'd love to ask advice about fiberglass repair and window leak issues.

I'll be there with my doggie "Cinder"

Creekside Campers

Along with the Bigfoot we'll be using we have a 1979 Trillium 4500 beached in our back yard. It's our first trailer and we just can't give it up.

Taoward, the guy in the pic, has done quite a bit of epoxy and fiberglass repair on both trailers. He just replaced and re-epoxied all the vents on the Bigfoot roof and has eliminated numerous window leaks and sealed the entire Trillium belly band.

We also have a solar battery charging setup. Tao's ultimate goal is to run the Bigfoot including the air conditioner off the sun but I don't think we're there yet. However, we carry a solar panel to charge the bazillion batteries under our bed!

Check with Tao in Creekside #1...he's always happy to help.
