The fall gathering of the Scrambled Eggs will be at Lake Bemidji State Park, Bemidji, MN.

Most of the electric sites are available as of today (May 10), so timely registrations would be prudent. The cost for an electric site is $31 per night. Registration fee is $8.50 via the Web. A park pass or daily entry fee will be required - just as it was at Kathio.

The main gathering area will be near site 56.

Be sure to bring your musical instruments.

This will be a back to basics/unorganized event. Bring your own name tags!

Too bad you announced this so late, we have booked all our vacation time already and will not be able to attend. Just to let you know that most companies want to know their employees vacation time in Jan and Feb. so they can plan their year. It is good for all the retired people but us working people need more notice.

Looks like around ten trailers have reserved sites as of Sunday, May 15.

Even some retired people plan their camping trips well in advance .
Being from Minnesota and liking the Bemidji area we would love to attend the rally but we have plans to go to the Black Hills in September. Maybe next year.
Hope the rally is a great sucess and the weather cooperates.
As Rick suggested , an earlier notice would be appreciated.

We kept hoping someone would announce a fall gathering for this area. No one did. So, this is a last minute, seat-of-the-pants, gathering for those that can make it.

Like Rick and Steve say earlier notice would have been great. Rally is less than 3 hours from us but we shall be in Southern ON at that time.

Linda, glad you will join us. 3 of the 20 are not us. One is camp host and the other two were already booked.

Adrian, if this works and people want a repeat we can do that in another year. We will see how it goes. We really did scramble to put something together at the last minute.

Thanks Nancy, I did have a typo in my post, meant we're a little under 4 hours. We shall likely be driving through Bemidji on the way to ON but that is about Aug 22.

I just checked and there may be 19 of us and 21 electric sites still available. there are also lots of non electric sites.

Pot luck will probably be Saturday at 5:00. We have the huge dining hall with complete kitchen for both Friday and Saturday, so whatever the weather is we will be comfortable.

The people at the Scrambled Eggs gatherings are all great people.

Bring your camp chair to sit around and visit. Coffee starts at 5:00 am. The one time I stumbled over early in the morning I was the only woman not asleep.

If you play any music instrument or sing be sure to participate.

At pot luck you bring your own drink, plate, and silverware. There is nothing planned, people just bring something to share.
At this gathering we will have the dining hall available so you will not need to lug your camp chair to anything that happens there.

You are welcome to attend anything planned (this is not organized but there should be something happening besides music.). Do not feel obligated to participle if you would prefer to go off on your own.

At some gatherings we have a white elephant gift thing. I usually keep something in my trailer in case something like that is happening. This is very optional, and there is no plan at this gathering for one of those events. Just letting you know I keep something in the trailer for when a "gift" might be acceptable. I'll never forget the tea I provided once. The lucky person who won my tin of tea opened the thing, sniffed it, and made an awful face.

Please just bring yourself and have a good time. I'll post closer to the date some activities we might have happening.

This is not an organized event. There is no host keeping track of who is coming. We will all be surprised to see who attends. We have been doing this in the spring at Mille Lacs and find it much more relaxing than putting the burden on someone to host an event. Same reward, less work.

Did some juggling and now Shirley and I will be there for Friday and Saturday nights. We booked site 51. Will leave Winnipeg to make it to the USA Border at Tolstoi/Langcaster for 8am when they open, and hopefully the camp office will let us in before 4pm.
