Hi Paul and welcome. Your trailer makes 67 trailers to register for the event. Looks like it will be a big one again. Make sure you come and see me in my site (F4) after you setup on Friday.

Rick,
As I recall there are some restrictions as to what a person can bring across the border in regards to food. Do you know anything about it?

I got this from the Government of Canada website.

What Food, Plant or Animal Products can I bring into Canada?

Did you know that importing a single piece of fruit or meat into Canada can be harmful to our ecosystems? Various food, plant and animal (FPA) products are restricted or prohibited entry because they can harbour foreign animal and plant pests and diseases. These things can cause irreparable harm to Canada's crops, livestock, environment, and threaten Canada's economy.
Many different kinds of items can introduce foreign threats into Canada. These include things as diverse as:
  • Food, such as raw or cooked meats, fruit/vegetables, milk;
  • Homemade articles, such as items made from plants or wood;
  • Houseplants;
  • Live animals, including pets;
  • Firewood;
  • Plant cuttings, seeds; and
  • Muddy hiking boots.
For a list of commonly imported food, plant and animal products and guidelines for importing them from the United States, please visit the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's guide: What Can I Bring Into Canada in Terms Of Food, Plant, Animal and Related Products?.

The link goes further into what you can and can't bring.

Shirley and I were just on a day trip to Grand Forks on Saturday and they are not even asking about Food at the border anymore. But when we do travel to the USA we buy our groceries when we arrive in the town or city we will be camping in as a support for their local economy. This way there is no trouble at the border.

Rick

Rick we often buy groceries In the US and are never asked when state we have groceries what we have when entering Canada but dont try taking fruit or vegetables to the US.

Manitoba Fiberglass and Vintage Camper Rally

As of right now there are 67 trailers registered for the Rally. A quick check shows 19 Basic campsites still available. So if anyone still wants to come, it is still possible.

http://prspub.gov.mb.ca/FacilitySearch.aspx

Shirley and I are heading to St Malo this morning, I will not have access to email. So this is my last post.

Roland is out of town and has very limited access to email.

Due to this there will probably be no responses to questions from here forward.

Come and see me in my campsite Section F Site 4 after 5pm on Friday August 18th to register and ask any questions you may have.

The General Public is welcome to join us for our Trailer Tour the starts in my campsite Section F Site 4 at 1pm on Saturday August 19th. Come out and see these Amazing Trailers, Friendly People and this Awesome Campground.

We will be heading up there on Thursday. I'd like to remind all US participants to check their cell phone plan to make sure you don't get added roaming fees from Canadian cell use. It can really add up. AT&T Has me covered. It's usually data use that is a killer.
