Three egg-citing days of eggs-actly what you need… eggs-ercise, a little music, and lots of Yokes!
Would you like to get that egg of yours on a roll? If you have never been to the Spirit of the Suwanee in Live Oak, FL, it is huge, and features hiking trails, canoeing, swimming, the historic Suwannee River, and lots more. This is the park’s first January gathering of "eggs". Some of you may have been to Jam ‘N Eggs in October. Music is a tradition here, so if you’re a musician, or just a wanna-be, please bring your instrument. A bunch of “regulars” who play Bluegrass at the park will be on hand Saturday night in the Pickin’ Shed. Feel free to join in or just come to listen. Sherri Magill, a new Casita owner and first-time host, is organizing the event in hopes of meeting other fiberglass trailer owners who long to hit the road and live in a nature rich environment. The Eggs will gather in The Loop camping area, but the park has hundreds of sites available in other areas. You may call the office to stay in our egg reserved area by dialing 386-364-1683 during regular business hours and asking for The Egg Rally discount. Electric/water sites are $27 a night and full hook ups are $31.50. There is also a two night special for $135.65 that includes a golf cart. Get regular updates on this event at fb.me/eggrally

If you haven't been to Spirit of Suwannee, it's a very unique park. It's in a beautiful location, right on the river. The "music park" part of it is also very cool. They have stages and other infrastructure for live concerts and festivals. There's a cafe and craft village, disk golf, as well as rentals for canoes and golf carts. Also, they offer tours of custom treehouses that are absolutely stunning.

We went to the Jam n' Eggs rally last month and had a great time. Some folks brought instruments, others brought paddleboards (although it might be a bit cold for paddleboards in January.)

btw, if anyone is curious. you can fit a standup bass in a Casita. Had to move it into the tow vehicle at bedtime, however.

Would this be a good event to view a variety of eggs? I still don't have one, and haven't zeroed in on a plan, but should have a little more time for the quest soon. All I've ever seen up close was a 13' Scamp, and all I really remember was that it was short for my height.

Hi FishingBob, All I can tell you for sure is that Casita will be well represented. There is also a 19' Scamp I know will be there. So far we have 14 RV's coming but I have not asked who is coming in what. I love my Casita Spirit 17'. The ceiling is 6'2". Stop by and have a look. Sherri

Should be cooler at night, though. I fired up the heater in our SD for the first time yesterday, in anticipation. Good thing, the burn-off of dust made the smoke alarm go off.
