TN | 2017, Oct 5-7 LBL FALL RALLY

Land Between the Lakes Piney Campground near Dover, TN. Reservations may be made six months in advance on line at www.lbl.org or by telephone 800-525-7077. The host site will be Persimmon 231. Please do not reserve this site. Book sites in the Sweetgum, Persimmon and Loblolly loops. All of these loops merge and are all in the vicinity of the host site. The 2016 rally had a total of 57 trailers so please book your sites as soon as possible. Further details will be posted on this forum at a later date. Thanks - Dennis.

The rally will be for three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The rally ends on Sunday after the morning coffee. Each morning coffee will be served at the host site. There will be a potluck on Friday evening and a wine tasting on Saturday evening.

I'm going - site 206 in Persimmon Loop from Friday, October 6th to Sunday, October 8th. It will either be me with my husband or me with my sister-in-law. Question: do these sites have water hookups? The description reads to me like the sites have electric and then communal water to fill up fresh water tanks.

Also, not trying to be presumptuous, but do other rally-goers allow tours of their campers at these rallies? I have a Scamp 13 and am thinking of upgrading to a Scamp 16 or Casita 16/17 with a bathroom in the next few years and would love to actually see one in person. Of course, if anyone is interested in seeing my Scamp 13 I will be glad to accommodate!

In the end, I'm excited for a weekend getaway in a beautiful location. See you all there!

Jenny, I can't answer the question about water at the sites, but can tell you that folks there will be glad to show off their campers. The typically have an open house on Saturday, but I'm sure you can take a peek before that

No water @ Persimmon. We use a "Coleman" plastic tote to fill up. OR, you can stop at one of the "Communal" hydrants and fill up with water before getting to your site. I have done that. The onboard Scamp tank is only 10-12 gal. We usually have to add an additional 3 or 4 gal during a 3-night stay- BUT, we have a bathroom!

The ONLY sites that have water and sewer are the Dogwood sites. They're very hard to get.

You'll find MOST people are always willing to talk about and/or show their RV's. The 1 or 2% that dont, you can quickly tell and move on.

Hello Dennis and all.

We planned to come to this rally for the first time this year but we're going to have to cancel due to another event commitment. If there is interest in our spot please let me know. Maybe it's possible to transfer it. I can do some checking with the campground how that works. I think the space we booked back in April is Loblolly #236 using the Ntl parks senior rate.

Maybe next year!
