Ocean front?

We are considering attending this rally. Any idea how many are expected to attend? I know the rally is organized on the sound side and I would like to be with all the other eggs but I am also worried if we travel 8+ hours to the outer banks that my husband will be bummed that we werent ocean side. I read you can't even swim on the sound side so being closer to the ocean would honestly appeal more to him since we would spend most of our time there. Does anyone stay "outside the nest" (sound side)? We have never been so not really sure distance wise if this should even be a concern. I know you cant see the ocean because of the dunes but access looks much better on the ocean side according to the map online. Any thoughts?

Hi Dawn,
The idea of having rally participants close to one another is so we can network and easily gather at the conference center when we're back in camp and not out exploring. Staying on the opposite end of the rally would require a little extra effort to be involved with the group.

If the ocean is the most appealing reason to make the trip, then by all means, book where you prefer. If you want to get further information regarding the resort's layout, then please call Camp Hatteras at 252-987-2777. They'd be happy to discuss your concerns.

If you choose to attend, then please RSVP with me so I can include you in with our events!

New Rates and New Online Form

There’s great news for all reservations—we have so many rally-goers, the rally discount rate for Oct. 6-9 has been further reduced. Nightly rates are now $60 for soundfront, $45 for non-soundfront, and $35 for tent sites. Sound side sites are going quickly.

Now Registration is even easier with an online form. Simply fill it out, and you’ll automatically receive a confirmation letter with Camp Hatteras reservation information. For registration, please go to: Eggshells in The Outer Banks - Fiberglass Travel Trailer Rally

We look forward to a great event.

Get in the OBX Rally Loop While You Can

Only two sites remain open on the resort’s sound side where all the events are being held. We’ve now added the 20 closest oceanside sites in the "Pelican Playground" loop for rally-goers. Make your reservations ASAP to be included near the rally fun.

Register through the Eggshells in The Outer Banks Website:

Donate Today- Get a Buoy Gift Bag

In lieu of a registration or rig fee, Eggshells in The Outer Banks turns to sponsors to help make the event happen. Even with the great sponsorship we’re receiving this year, we still could use of a bit of additional support.

If you’re as excited about the 2017 rally as we are and want to make a small contribution of $15, we’ll thank you with a Buoy Bag. It’s filled with handcrafted gifts such as a Flemish flake coaster set, rally memorabilia including the 2017 rally sticker, an extra door prize ticket, great product samples and more.

Only 48 bags have been assembled, so if you make a donation now we’ll reserve a bag for you at rally registration. It’s our way of saying thank you in advance!

To make a donation please go to Eggshells in The Outer Banks - Fiberglass Travel Trailer Rally

Please follow the Web site registration at Eggshells in The Outer Banks - Fiberglass Travel Trailer Rally
After RSVPing on the rally site, you'll get more detailed instructions via email to follow through with Camp Hatteras reservations for the event.

If the power isn't restored in 9 weeks, the entire country has a infrastructure problem.

The Outer Banks is notorious for sling-shoting after a tropical storm or hurricane. That's the spirit of adventure, the attractiveness of those who have resilience and why we adventure out from our "safe" spaces to discover our own uncharted lands in an RV in the first place.

Sorry Happier Camper chose not to join us this year. Or the past two years.

Sorry Hildaga as I would of really liked to have a HC1 at your rally as it sounds like one of the premier rally's in the country(except when it is cancelled due to hurricanes) . I'll actually have a HC1 in the north/ South Carolina area at the end of august for some pop up viewing after an event at the Javits center in New York. We also have a handful of new HC1 owners in the south east and hopefully someone will be able to attend the rally as I know they love to show it off.Hopefully I can also get there soon as I would love to be there also.

About Two Weeks Away from Schedule

The rally Schedule of Events will be emailed to all registered attendees on September 1st. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam mail first before contacting me.

In order to receive the schedule and important rally information, you must RSVP AND have a reservation with Camp Hatteras. Please refer to the simple two-step reservation process at: Eggshells in The Outer Banks - Fiberglass Travel Trailer Rally

The following people have rally reservations at the campground, but have not RSVPed:
F. Bundy- site 202, J. Rogers- site 287, M. Jones- site 310, and D. Abbott- site 415.
Please RSVP so we can contact you and include you in the rally events.

There are several people who have RSVPed, but have not booked their campsite reservation yet. Please courteously do so before August 31st, or else we can’t guarantee when/if you’ll receive the schedule and important rally information. Alternatively, if you RSVPed and changed your plans, please let me know you’re cancelling.

A lot of effort is being put into this rally to make it an extraordinary event. We are super excited and look forward to having a great time with everyone attending!

I'd like to visit for a few hours to see some of the travel trailers. I understand Liberty will have the new 20' Parkliner at the site. I'll be traveling with my two big dogs and must keep them in the air conditioned car if it's hot. How do I arrange a brief visit? May I drive around the campground?

Hi Diane,
The campground is private for registered guests only, however, if you are invited by a registered guest to be their visitor and see their trailer, there is no issue with that.

The great news is we will be having a Public Showcase of Liberty Outdoors Premier Trailers on Saturday, October 7th, from 10:00am-5:00pm outside the Camp Hatteras Conference Center with free designated public parking. This includes the next generation of ParkLiner trailers.

You can get a first-hand look at the newest travel trailers on the market. The Liberty Outdoors Team will be on site to show you all the great features on their latest brand line. Participate in the contests, giveaways, live radio broadcasts and more.

For more on the rally weekend and public showcase event, see the article in RV Daily Report: Liberty Outdoors to sponsor Outerbanks rally | RV Daily Report
