2017, Sept 8-10: 6th Annual Algonac Glassic Egg Scramble
Well, here we are, heading towards spring, towards another camping season. I hope that everyone had a great fall, and you are now either snow birding somewhere warm , or else cozy by the fire and staying warm up north
As in past years, we'll be in the Riverfront section of Algonac State Park.
You can register 6 months out, which will fall in early march. I recommend that you mark your calendar if you have a favorite spot, and especially if you want to be directly off the river. The prime sites can go very quickly. https://www.midnrreservations.com/AlgonacStatePark?Map
I'll be looking up the registration date and will post it soon.
More details to follow! Looking forward to seeing you again.

Sorry for hiding this thread so well people! I posted it with the wrong year, and it wound up in the Archive section. So its now up in the year it needs to be in.
As we move on closer to the registration date for those of you who want to get first dibs, I'll get that date listed.
Last year there were discussions of renting the pavilion. I'll check the price and then we can decide if that's what we want to do. It has a good view to the river. Picnic tables are already there for seating. And we won't have any rain to deal with, as well as plenty of room for every one. I'll let you know what I find out.
Looking forward to seeing you all once again!

I wouldn't put all my faith in Google Earth.
I looked up Nk'Mip the other day and the new loop ( where I've camped the last couple years ) is still just dirt according to the satellite photo.
Make sure you look at the date on the photo.

I think we are fine, Glen. I've camped at Algonac since I was a child. I live just over an hour away. This is our 6th year for the FGRV group going back to Algonac, so I'm sure that the park, the river, and Canada are still there
Come on by and join us! Everyone is welcome.

I will check out the pavilion price.
6 months out is when you can register, to get your favorite site!
Bob, yes, we'll be in the same area as we have been before (north end of the campground).
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Which Riverfront section?
Hi all,
I'd love to join in for this rally - it's only our second season with the Scamp and Algonac is so close! Which Riverfront section of Algonac park is the group camping in? I see two listed on the state reservation webpage (I know we can't book sites for a few more days, but I wanted to look at the maps).
