2018, July 6-8: Ontario bolerama

I see Fred has posted the dates up on the bolerama forums.

He said details on his web page, yet I cannot get the page to load. I will update / edit this post when I can.

Please post any info below if you know anything. Without any details I assume it is at the same place and format as last year.

Last years thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ama-79893.html

Thanks George @jokra for posting that. I fixed the hyperlink in your quote.
Thanks Hidalga for getting it up on the 2018 Rally Map.

It is open to all molded fiberglass trailers. This is from the event website:

Quote:
How do we camp- There are two ways you can camp at this event. Group Camping and Serviced sites. On arrival at the gate inform the Park Staff if your Group Site or Seviced Site.

Group Camping- The Park has provided us a large area for Group camping. Be advised it is boondock camping. Please bring everything you need to get through the weekend. Bring your own table because the Park cannot provide them easily in the group area. Water is provided at 3 points. For Group camping no reservations are required.

Serviced Site- These numbered sites will provide water and power on the campsite. They must be reserved and reservations will be taken for Bolerama starting in April. For a serviced site call the number below only. Please mention Bolerama because the Park tries very hard to get our campers together.
Longbeach Park Office Phone Number -905 899 3462

Once you are settled in on a site please go to Bolerama Central and sign in. There you will get your Trailer display sheet that can be placed on your trailer and a commemorative pin. Also enter our draw prize fun giveaway. There is also a BBQ on Saturday at 5PM for all the Bolerama Campers. Food is all supplied. Just bring chairs a table and what you use to eat on along with a drink. Total cost is $20 per trailer for 2 campers.
After we can gather for a camp fire which has always been a great time to kick back and enjoy the experience.
Notes:
  1. Drop Fred an email with the number in your party, link here. He uses that to determine the food requirements for the BBQ.
  2. The campground which is part of a network will mark all the sites that can be reserved for the event as unavailable on their reservation system. So don't use their online system. Call the office, mention bolerama and they will process your reservation manually. (There are a couple of "prime location" sites that are not serviced but reservable. The regulars snap them up by site # on the first day you can reserve. )

I'm packing to leave in the morning, expecting to arrive early evening. Going down my usual list it occurred to me I've seen no mention of a potluck dinner, just the BBQ on Saturday. Is that correct?
Looking forward to meeting all.

Yes due to the large crowds a potluck dinner was becoming a problem so Fred opted for a bbq on Saturday ,there is however a bring what’s leftover potluck diner for those who remain on Sunday.

Hi Carol Ann
Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a good meal and nice weather. We couldn’t make it this year but will see you in September at the Falls.

Hi: Carol Ann in TO... Sorry we missed Bolerama this year, but it looks like it's all "Greek" to me.
