2019, June 6-9: Eggs a La Bourbon Rally

Please join us 2019, June 6,7, 8, & 9 at Wax Campground (https://www.recreation.gov/camping/wax/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=7347 2) in Clarkson, KY for the fourth annual Eggs a La Bourbon Rally.
Wax Campground sits on the shores of Nolin River Lake in the rolling landscape of southern Kentucky. The large lake and surrounding greenery create a recreational oasis for outdoor enthusiasts. Nolin Dam creates a 5,795-acre lake that draws more than two million visitors each year to enjoy water sports and camping in the surrounding expanse of rolling forest. Known for its unique blue/green water, Nolin Lake is one of the top lakes in Kentucky for catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye fishing. Visitors can enjoy scenic canoe and boat trips along the river, part of which is located within Mammoth Cave National Park. Boat ramps are provided around the lake for campers' convenience. Wax Marina is located around the lake and offers pontoon and john boat rentals, as well as boat slips and groceries, bait, gas and more.
We, Troy and Anita, will be your hosts and plan to reserve site 15 as soon as the window for reservations becomes available on Dec. 6, 2018. Please do not reserve site 15, as its location is ideal for the activities we have planned.
Since Wax is a Corp of Engineer campground, the soonest reservations can be made is 6 months out (Dec 6, 2018).
We are trying not to schedule a lot of events in order to allow everyone the opportunity to explore the intersting sights local to Cave Country.

Travel exclusively by lantern light as guides recreate a nostalgic experience of days gone by. The flickering flame and rugged trails make it seem as if time stands still in the cave. Experience the cave the way early visitors did as you navigate steep hills and uneven terrain through some of the largest and oldest toured passageways. Relive the stories, behold the illusions and experience the cave's primitive nature that only this rustic walking tour can afford!
Be prepared, the rugged nature of this tour possesses steep hills, low lighting, uneven terrain and no handrail or electric lighting infrastructure. To preserve the nostalgic nature of this tour, the use of flashlights is prohibited.

We will catch up with you later. My feet do not like Mammoth Cave. We did it a couple of years ago.

My Scamp and I are thinking of joining you from Michigan. Looks like there are a few #15's, A, B and C. Which are you targeting, B is it, and what is the difference in the loops, if any?
Thanks!
Michelle

For those of you wanting to arrive early on June 5th for this rally, you have a green light to make your reservations on December 5th! For those who are planning to arrive June 6th, you can make your reservations starting on December 6th!

Not sure if Missy and I will make it this year, we had a great time last year and met some wonderful people. We sold our Casita back in October and ordered a new Escape 21. Our delivery date is the end of May, we hope to spend a few weeks coming home.

Site B011: Arriving Thursday, June 6; Departing Sunday, June 9.

Not that it matters to me but, based on item #1 on the campground's "Need to Know" list, the appropriate title for the rally would probably be "Eggs Sans Bourbon". :-)

See you all in a couple of months.
