2019 Sept 5,6,7 New Ulm

https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_pa...ml?id=spk00145

Scrambled Eggs will gather at Flandrau State Park, New Ulm, MN the nights of September 5,6,7, 2019.

We will gather at the Mothership site 57.

There may be road construction at a major intersection into town. Expect a detour at the end of your drive. Will post a link closer to event.

If you have any musical talent be sure to bring it along.

I just tried to reserve a site. The MN state parks Reservation system requires we open an account. Tried that, but it did not take … with three tries.???
How did you do it?

Wayne,

I have been having an awful time trying to get into their reservation system. When I told Fred he tried and got in. It may be because I need to update my iPad. Was hoping other people were not having my problem.

I did not have this problem a couple of weeks ago. Something changed.

Call in reservations have a larger reservation fee, it might be the way people have to go.

Hi Bryan,

Coming from the state of Virginia?

Wow, looking forward to meeting you. You should be comfortable over in the non electric with our Canadian friend who chose to camp there. Electric will not be needed for heat, I hope it will not be needed for cooling. Generally that is a decent time of year.

There are a couple of others showing up early. I am guessing we might head down early too, will just come early without a reservation.

Glad you can join us. Bring music instrument or voice if you can.

Yep - all the way from VA 1250 miles... Not too bad with a stop or two to get there - then we are going to the KS Eggstravaganza right afterward. Might as well make the trip worth while! We will be fine without power for 2 nights. The first 3 nights we will have power so we will have propane for the fridge to keep the soda cold. I always wondered why they call it MINISODA - I want a LARGE SODA!!!!!

Minnesota Meets

I see there is a meet the first full weekend in September in New Ulm, MN. Is there any other Minnesota or Wisconsin meets in 2019?

Mike,

There is a gathering at Kathio, Mille Lacks, MN first weekend of May. There are no eletctric sites left. Electric sites fill a year in advance.

There is a gathering in Iowa. I see none in Wisconsin.

At the top, before gatherings are listed on that forum, there is a place you can put in a state. WI, MN, IA. It will then show gatherings in the state you choose.

Hope to see you in New Ulm. There are non electric there and the weather should not make electric necessary.

Hi Nancy and Fred

We were just looking through the list of rallies and had forgotten about yours. We're attending Inyan in SD ending the weekend before Scrambled Eggs so thought why not just head straight east from there and attend yours.

I've just booked site 5 for the 3-8.

Are you coming to the MB rally this year, or maybe come again a few days before?

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Will be good to see you again.

Your early arrival will give you plentry of time to explore the area. I am looking forward to eating at the two German dining places. There is also a festival on Saturday for people who want to go. I think I will save the braut for that event, and eat other things at the dining places.

Fred and I are only booked for three nights. I think we will probably come down a day earier. I like this area of Minnesota.

We will come to St. Malo again mid week if it is not too hot. Coming mid week does not require a reservation. I enjoy the pre mini rally. I do miss the Farmers Market on Saturday though.

Sorry if this posted twice. Tried to post before and it did not show up.

Nancy

Friday Meet and Greet

Friday, Sept. 6, 5:00pm

The Meet and Greet Crew will provide the food. All that is required from you is your presence, chair, and beverage. Looking forward to seeing old faces and new faces. (Fred just proofed this and said, “We’ve all got old faces”)

There are still some non-electric sites available.
