Hi, Walt!

Thanks so much, Walt, for that warm welcome. I'll visit the official rally site to sign up (and it sounds like I should bring my bike). I see there are cabins to be rented in the park, so I'll do that. I'm so excited to see all that fiberglass!

Thanks, again...and see you there.

It can get a little cold there that time of year which might be a consideration for tent camping.

Also you can call Casita and probably the other trailer companies (Scamp etc.) and they will give you the names of people in your area with their trailers. These people have agreed to show potential buyers their trailers. We live in Northern Virginia outside Quantico and have shown ours.

I agree it can be cold there that time of year. They do have Yurts on site to rent.

People come an go during the day so it might be difficult to see everything during the day. My two cents is to camp on site so you can visit with people in the morning and evening.

Ellen & I will be at site 29 with our 2016 16 Ft Scamp Deluxe. We'd be happy to share our experiences with you.

When we get about a month out I'll be looking to make up a list for the bike trip, and another for the dinner at Harvest Table. Please monitor this thread so you'll be ready to opt in if you wish.
Although it worked out fabulously, last year it seemed akin to herding cats. Please do help me keep this straight to preserve what hair I didn't tear out last year.

Is the Rally Still a Go!

Hello All,

We just booked a site for the Rally and I thought I had better check to make sure the Rally is still on.

Thanks

So far it's all looking good. Good idea to check these days though. I look forward to seeing you in Oct.

Meanwhile, please check back often beginning Labor Day as I try to put together the dinner and the Virginia Creeper ride.

Walt

Hi Walt,
I've booked a non-site specific site for Oct 22-25th. Looking forward to it very much!

Well, welcome. I'm honored to be your first rally host.
And you have a campsite and let us know here so you are good to go. There is no formal rally registration.
Please start checking regularly after Labor Day to keep up with the status and details of the Saturday dinner and the Virginia Creeper Trail ride.

Okay a little late to this rally. Booked a site but it comes as nonspecific, site assigned when arriving. Oh well. Looking forward to this one we are trying out new rallies and new places. Last year was Pineknot in Texas this year we go east.

Welcome. I went to Pineknot for many years and had a lot of friends out there.

We reserved site 7 for 10/22 - 10/24. This will be our 1st rally. Our new Escape 17b should be delivered by then. Looking forward to it.

Welcome Chuck. I hope we can give you a good introduction to the rally world.
And it'll be fun to see what's new in your 17B compared to my 2017.
