VA | 2020, October 22-25: Fall Fiberglass Rally at Hungry Mother

The dates next year will be October 22-25. Register early as this year the campground filled up for the first time. When you register, please post your information here and check back frequently as more information is posted.
Any time you call the park, please mention the fiberglass rally to help familiarize them with our presence and contribution.

I'll get this rally thread pinned for the 2020 map specifically in the correct campground of Hungry Mother. Thanks for the 2019 synopsis and thanks to folks like CamperBill and Jon V for posting event photos.


I hope to have an open schedule in 2020 to attend. It sounds like the 2019 slight date move turned out to be a good one...for both the attendees and Mother Nature (with her flare)! Looking forward to joining y'all.

We have reserved site 28 arriving 22nd and looking forward to attending. We wanted to come last year but Hurricane Flo put about 3 feet of water in the Casita. We are trailer-less at the moment as we sold our Escape 19 a couple of weeks ago. Heading to Chilliwack BC in late April to pick up new 5.0TA and will be on road a couple months or so heading back to NC. Look forward to meeting y’all.

Hi, everyone! I'm a tent camper who is interested in attending this rally. My intention would be to see some fiberglass RVs to get a sense of size/layout/design/etc. for a future purchase. I live near D.C., and this is the nearest rally in 2020 to me.

How would folks guide me if I wanted to attend the rally? Would you recommend I tent camp on-site? Get a hotel room and drive to the park during the day? Some other advice?

Hi Ashley
We'd be happy to have you visit, or even officially attend the rally. While our focus is on molded fiberglass trailers, we aren't so exclusive that you have to attend in one. And I don't figure you'd even want to come if you weren't interested in them, which is the main point. We've even had friends who moved down from fiberglass to sticky attend. And whatever works best for you; tent, motel, or a cabin in the park. So attend, just visit for a day, we'd welcome you either way.
I guess if you wanted to join in the dinner and/or the bike ride, I'd prefer (not insist) you as an attendee, just to keep my thinking simple.
And although we're a small rally, we usually have a decent variety of fiberglass brands and models to see.
