How to Effectively Advertise Your Rally

As I build each year's Rally Map on Google Maps, I want to mention how to effectively promote a rally to coordinators.

Here are the three basic steps to post your rally through
1. Start a new thread for your rally under the Rallies, Meets Forum. Include the year, date and rally name in the title. The year of the rally is important for thread searches, and it distinguishes the most current rally if it’s an annual event.
2. Under the “More” tab at the top of the Website, go to “Rally Calendar” and add your new rally event. RSVP for your own rally! Get the wheels rolling.
3. If you want your rally added to the Rally Map on Google Maps (highly advisable, as many other independent sites also link to the map), include the following to me (Hidalga) in a Private Message:
a. Name of Event
b. Date(s)
c. Rally Location (include state or Canadian Province/Territory)
d. Link to the rally page (Copy and paste the URL of your thread)

Without a FiberglassRV link, the information in your rally's dialogue box will read, "No further information provided on"

Jeanine, Thanks so much for keeping the calendar up to date. We love referring to it to see if their are any gatherings on our camping routes.

If you are going to have a Facebook page post the link to it here on FGRV. Also do the reverse and let those that find your Facebook page have the link to the FGRV post for your event. Otherwise people will miss info as not everyone searches both
