2017, Oct.24-29: PineKnot Rally

The PineKnot Rally will be October 24 - 29, 2017 @ Salmon Lake RV Park, Grapeland, Texas. The 2016 Rally had almost 100 trailers in attendance. Great fun. Registration should happen in May at the site linked below.

Yeah, I had a great time at Pineknot as always, and Tom and Martha Jo play a large part in that. Thanks for all you do there. BTW, a reminder. You still have the Compact Jr. in your sig.

Pine Knot Newbie

Terri and I had a great time with this crowd.
We dont even have our trailer yet and they all welcomed us with open arms. We set up our Clam with the sun screens and called it a tent. What a hoot!

A sincere thanks to George & Sandy for making us feel so welcome along with 140 or so new friends in the Casita world!

Dennis,Terri and Walt,

We are glad you had a good time. Thanks to the three of you for participating in the activities. I tend to watch the proceedings and enjoy hearing the enthusiasm of them. You three added to that enthusiasm and my enjoyment. As did Tom and Martha Jo daily. Again, thanks for all you do.

Tom, thanks for posting next year's dates for Pineknot. Sandy

How is registration conducted?

Hi we are new to Pineknot. I was unable to find information on how to register on the web site.

Do we reserve a site with the Salmon Lake RV Park first and then register for Pineknot, or register with Pineknot and pay for the RV site when we arrive?

Pineknot 2017

Hi Richard,

Pineknot registration will open up in July. I will post when the site becomes active. Then you will go to mfrvg.com and click on Pineknot and register. You do not register at Salmon Lake. Instead, you don't even stop at the office upon your arrival. They have 300 sites so you won't have a problem finding a site or with registering. We collect all fees including site fees. We need to know you are coming and we have a couple of fields in the registration with a count of people participating such as our catered dinner.

Look forward to meeting you.

Sandy

I just ordered my Casita and the pick up time will be sometime in mid October. I don't have the exact date yet but I hope it's around the time of your rally so that I can attend before heading back to Massachusetts.

Question Going to be early

I can't attend the Pineknot Rally, but Larry from LHC says people start gathering around Oct 20th. I can come from Oct 20 - 23. Will people be arriving then? Would love to meeting and share with other FG RV owners and show off my brand new Casita!

Pineknot

Supercorgi,
Come those dates. Please send me a pm (personal message) with your email address as we send out information periodically. As Tom said we tend to like camping together so we come earlier. Sandy

The registration form for Pineknot 2017 will be posted mid July. To register go to mfrvg.com and click on Pineknot. I will also post an update when the site is ready and registration is ready to open. This year as in past years there is no wait list for the registration process. Looking forward to seeing you again in Grapeland. Sandy and George

This year’s PineKnot Rally is just over a month away and we have just returned from an extended trip to Alaska. Right now we’re inventoring and ordering supplies. We also need to order door prizes. We are considering a Little Red Campfire and TST Remote Tire Sensors. And, I am also planning to evalute a Square system for credit cards and PayPal for submitting payments.
Although there is no wait list, I am encouraging everyone planning to attend to register (or cancel) by 1 October. As of then, I’m going to use the database email list for communicating with attendees. This would include information of paying for Octoberfest and the catered dinner, final agenda, Ladies Tea, and information on Square and PayPal.
Unfortunately, I expect that many of our friends that are affected by the floods in Houston may not be able to attend. Our prayers are with them.
So we are looking forward to seeing you at PineKnot.

Are there any spots left for this rally and how far is this rally from Dallas. We will have a couple of HC1 s at the tiny homes jamboree on the 27/28 in Dallas and was hopeing to possibly maybe swing by on Thursday if time permits.

Its about 2 hours SE of Dallas.
