Not that I'm in the market, but if one were to buy a Cobb on clearance, it would appear difficult to get parts. Does the Cobb have parts that are likely to need replacement?

WHAAAAT!?!?! Dang, a perfect cooking appliance for small campers. Wonderful, wonderful food I've eaten on a Cobb!

I have wanted a Cobb for awhile now. Many places in Texas unfortunately do not allow charcoal cooking in the summer, just gets too dry

Dear Cobb Grill Fans… today is a sad day for Cobb lovers. Unfortunately after 10 years in the North America, we are officially closing down our US sales office and CobbQ.com. Hopes are that Cobb will return to North America at some point in the future.

We do have a number of accessory items left in stock at drastically reduced prices. Please see Cobb Premier Portable Grill Store - Cobb Portable Grill Home for details - Unfortunately this is all we have left and the site will be closing down at the end of October, so please place any orders before then. For more information or questions, please email customerservice@aocna.com. Thank you. Cobb America

argh.... that is too bad... I love my Cobb's. I also owned an old orginal Cobb with the plastic base.... The plastic base eventually warped.... I noticed they have a base available for $20.... but the shipping kinda kills it.

I guess i'll just keep the parts I have.

Well I would worry only about the non-stick coated parts.... The regular top griddle and fry pan are all noon stick. The roasting rack and wok are stainless, those shouldn't be a problem.

For those of us that have never explored the magic that is, (was) a Cobbs grill, could some one please eulogize it? (with pictures)

On their web site they pointed out, they hope to someday be back in the USA. At least they are not totally going out of business, just here. Happening to a lot of smaller businesses.

I ordered one today from Amazon, which was still indicating they would get more. (11 were left after I bought mine.)

Makes me wonder if Cobb is ceasing their retail presence, but will still distribute to other vendors... Or will Amazon be changing their tune?

Either way, I got mine.

If you look around on Amazon and the interwebs, you'll notice a lot of Cobb items by Advanced Outdoor Concepts. They appear to manufacture some Cobb equipment.

Thank you very much for posting this as I've been meaning to get one but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I've just ordered mine so I didn't miss out. What a disappointment that would have been!
