Cobb Grill one day deal, WOOT

The Woot website has a one day deal on the Cobb grill. $69.99 +$5.00 shipping. I guess this is the one that has been discussed here before. Looks to be about $50 less than Amazon.

Yes, that is it, here is link Woot® : One Day, One Deal
you may want to go to Cobb site here Cobb Premier Portable Grill Store - Cobb Portable Grill Home
and get the custom bamboo briquets for the first couple of times you use it, then you can practice with the conventional charcoal. Highly recommended by a Cobb owner, here.

I ordered a Cobb grill from Woot. On the Cobb facebook link they mentioned the Woot deal and also the gave a code for 50% off accessories until Friday. What accessories do you recommend and what is the difference between the Premier and the Pro model?

I just ordered one... Thanks for the link!

I think the difference is that the premier had stainless steel mesh and the pro has colored powder coat steel around the base.

The premier is all ss and the pro is colors, I'd suggest the roasting rack and the griddle or the basic accessory kit if you can get 50% off of $150- good deal. Also get 1X 4 pack of the briquets to use until you get familiar. Enjoy, I use mine year round.

Thanks again, Eddie! I used that code to get the ultimate accessory pack from Cobbq. I can't wait to play around with the Cobb. I've been wanting one for years. It should be a lot lighter weight than my hibachi that I usually bring along on camping trips... and looks like it would be easier to use and more efficient with the charcoal.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. We purchased one and ordered all the accessories at 50% off. I did order each thing individually since it was cheaper that way, but the rack is on back order so I have to wait to get those, about 6 weeks. Can't wait to try it out. Terry R.

I got a notice that my grill had shipped last friday. I also ordered my accessories somewhat seperately. I ordered the smaller combo package with a couple of other things. I got a message from Cobbq about adjusting my order and to to order the B/O rack seperately. I was concerned I could loose my discount and my shipping would double, so I will also just wait the 6 weeks. Why would a company do a big promotion like this and not have the items on hand, kinda makes you wonder what up.

They all come out of a Florida distributor and I think they may even be made overseas.

Their head office is in Florida, but orders ship out of Traverse City, MI.

I received my grill last week... Just got an email that the accessory kit shipped today. I should have it on Wednesday. I've already cooked two meals on the Cobb... Can't wait to get the accessories and do even more with it (especially on our camping trip this weekend).

So what is your opinion of the Cobb, doesn't it make the food juicy, it is like a charcoal crock pot!!

My steak was nice... I cooked it until it was the right temp, then seared it a bit in a cast iron pan. Maybe the grill accessory will be better at searing/browning meat than the nonstick cooking surface.

The chicken breasts I cooked last night were perfect! I had the leftovers tonight. I also cooked some veggies in the moat. I'd like to try a whole chicken this weekend.

The food really tastes great. First night we cooked was jerk chicken thighs and I put beer in the moat. What a mess to clean up but the chicken was great. The next night we cooked pork chops and some country style ribs. I put foil in the moat and added water. Again the food was great and the clean up was much easier.
My wife and I walk three miles each evening. We load up the grill then go for our walk, when we get back the food is ready to eat. We plan on using it daily to cut the elec. bill.

BTW: The company shipped me all my accessories execpt the backordered rack, like they should have done in the first place.
