Hey, you might want to check out Sharon Herman's chicken and white bean chili recipe because I won 1st place at a chili cookoff with it today! Didn't think I'd have a chance because it is very untraditional, but it received rave reviews! Thanks, Sharon! Next time I'll try Jonathan's!

Well I'll be! Good for you. Did you do it in the crock?

Donna, hmmmm, I wonder how well the Pom Martini's would go with chili? Sounds more like a beer thing!

Oh man, you’ll have to do it for us at the Lake San Antonio Rally Pot Luck. Yum!

Crock? Like Crock Pot? I don't see the directions for that Sharon. Can you provide them... And Yes, Dark Beer... by all means!

I have never made it in the crock, but Lisa asked me what I thought. I told her why not? So she made it (last half anyway) in a crock pot. I will make it for the pot luck at NOG, OK? And, I'll bring some brewskies.....

I think it might be better on the stove than in the crock pot. I cut back the chicken broth by a whole can and didn't add any water since there would be no evaporation in the crockpot. But the cornmeal didn't thicken up the broth like I thought it would--possibly because it wasn't cooking all day, only the afternoon. Can't remember...did I saw be cautious in adding a whole can of jalapenos in addition to a can of green chilies (this in a doubled recipe)?

I'm still feeling rather impressed--I've never won a cooking contest before...then again, I've never entered one! Does county fair count? Guess I've won ribbons there. Keep the good recipes coming!
