My nomination for new controversial vegetable is eggplant. Although I'm not sure it's a vegetable; seems like some low form of animal life to me. I'm sure it's not a fungus, some of them are right tasty.

Actually that's quite good, Potteralice. That's the way my wife makes it. I strip off the crusty batter and eat that.

I'd rather have the batter wrapped around chicken.

Lori has a friend that keeps giving her Eggplant from her garden. Lori has figured out how to cook it so that it is quite good. I can even gain weight on it now.

Coarse I can gain weight on anything.

Well...I think I'd rather have okra than cilantro...

I love cilantro and, because I am into holistic health, I make sure to always include it in making tuna salad because it binds with heavy metals, thus preventing them from getting stuck in the body's tissues when eating canned (tinned) fish and fish that naturally (or by virtue of human contamination of water bodies) contains heavy metals.

Cilantro is used in many commercially sold heavy metal cleanse products for this very reason. An excellent herb!

Love cilantro! It might even be good on okra.
Well, one thing's for sure...there's nothing you can do to okra to make it taste worse!
