My friends and all our kids have given up s'mores in favor of an old girl scout dessert:

Take a banana in the skin and slice on the inside curve from one end to the other through the skin and into the banana. Pull it open and stuff it with any of the following ingredients: choc chips, peanut butter, brown sugar, butter, coconut, any kind of nuts, mini marshmallows, raisins, etc. Wrap it in heavy duty foil and place in the hot coals for 5-10 minutes. Unwrap foil and eat out of the banana skin with a spoon. Heavenly!

We called those Banana Boats when I was a Girl Scout.

We fixed 'em at the Texas Bluebonnet Casita Rally of 2003 (?) (Not actually sure of the year.)
