I make this at home on cold rainy days and I have also made it over hot bed of coals while camping.

Easy Fish chowder that you don't even have to catch the fish. Alf
1 -16oz pkg of Salt Cod
4 med potatoes, diced
pinch of celery salt
1 bay leaf
10 whole cloves
2 small onions diced
1/2 cup oleo
1/4 tsp dill
1/4 tsp fresh peper
2 cups Boiling water
2 cups milk

Salt cod prep;
1) rinse fish in cold water for 5 minutes
2) heat fish in water just to boiling point
3) rinse fish again in water
Repeat sequence again then cut fish into bite size chuncks

Place all ingredients exept milk, in a 3 qt. cast iron pot with cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Heat milk on top of stove, do not scald and add to hot chowder and serve.
Add more celery salt to taste and gotta have oyster crackers to go with it.
