I just had to share this little experience with you all.
Picture this, its Christmas day, the packages are all open and the kids are off playing with all of their new toys and enjoying their sugar induced high. My wife is busy preparing the feast which includes a beef tenderloin. She set the oven to preheat when all of a sudden the oven starts beeping F3 and shuts off. A quick check on the internet and F3 means the thermostat is shorted and after numorous attempts it just won't stay on.
My wife says, "I wish the trailer was put back together so I could use the oven in it." Since I am in the middle of a full gut and restore of my Boller 1700 all of the cabinets and appliances are stacked in the garage waiting to be fixed and reinstalled, I immediately dismiss the thought. After 15 or so minutes of cussing about what to do I went to the garage and thought maybe we can make this work. I managed to find the regulator and hoses, hooked them up to the tanks then attached the 1/4" copper line from the stove to the regulator and presto, we had an oven.
So here I am out on the freezing floor of the garage on my hands and knees cooking the Christmas dinner in our
Boler oven. All worked out fine and the beef was done perfectly, the garage never smelled better either.
