Seems like it makes the trip go faster when I can munch away the miles....but then too many miles and too many munchies turn my jumping jacks...:jump-r ....into more like these...:cblob ,,fitting name (blob).
I might have to add a few choc. chips next time...."hello, my name is Karen and I am a chocolaholic'

No, I got it right the first time.

No, I got it right the first time.

My jumping jacks have to be either one or the other......can't chew gum and walk at the same time.....never could get arms and legs going at the same time without falling on my face.:huh

I also accept Pay Pal .... select the "send a piece of pie" pay option.

>>choc chips.

Hmm. Never thought of that. Interesting twist on something I've enjoyed my entire life.

Just kidding,I'll stick to the recipe first time then mess around after.

weight lifter?

I can't take credit for that one, that's Suz

I bet oatmeal would be fantastic in that pie, Pippa. I also thought of graham crackers, but that might be too sweet. I better leave well enough alone. I'm one of those that measures every ingredient. You let me know how the oatmeal goes.

oatmeal.....YES

I too had considered oatmeal, and why not graham crackers Jana? I was also imagining a new corn bread......hmmmm. I love to try new things.....last time I made cornbread I added anis oil, since I love black licorice. I thought it was good, but hubby turned his nose up at it.:sick

Pippa, I can't take credit for the design, just copied it off a free smiley site and used it for my avatar, but anyway.

Charles, we might have to have a soda cracker pie bake off.

licorice

I think I'm with your hubby on that one, Karen. I hate licorice. I'll get my cornmeal cookie recipe out and put it in a new thread. suppose to be like a shortbread cookie which is my favorite.

Pams Pie!

I made Pams pie,I made Pams pie!!:cblob .Philip loved it and I even made Birds custard for him (english )
I do not bake as I have a tendency to eat it ,but this was so easy.
I had dates and walnuts over so.......

I put 2cups of quick oatmeal into a bowl and added 12 chopped dates ,handful each of walnuts, raisins, peanuts, 1/2 chopped apple 3/4 cup brown sugar then added the 4 stiff egg whites, pressed into square pan. and baked as per Pams recipe. This is a great travel snack.I think cinnamen would be great in it too.

Two comments.
1. I don't remember raisins and peanuts (mine were a joke, Pippa) and oatmeal in Pam's. I think this is Pippa's Pie.
2. Is Bird custard anything like egg custard, my Toms fav? he calls it cuss egg pie

Oops, I reread pippas, and you made Pam's and a new one. OOOhhh!!:bh

Well, Jana, I misread it, too. I'm glad you cleared it up for me. I was wondering how Pippa could be calling it Soda Cracker Pie when she made it with Oats?

Of course, I decided to let you be the one to call her out on it! :laugh

Cuss egg Pie!

Yup!! I made 2 pies in one day and the custard was for Pams pie instead of whipped cream. Birds custard powder comes in a cardboard container and you mix it with sugar and boiling milk ,it makes a smooth thick custard.Tom would like it!

No Bake

Jana ,it is in a round cardboard container with a metal lid.You use 3 tbs custard powder 3tbs sugar and 3cups milk ,I use skim. If you can't find it try this...

Bring 1 cup milk to slow boil
mix together 1/4cup flour.1/4cup sugar,1egg, vanilla, add milk slowly=cuss egg!for Tom.
Let me know if it works:conf
