Irish farls are not a yeast bread. Farls means fourths. I will get back with a recipe, but they are alot like a big round flat biscuit cut into 4 wedges on a griddle and cooked slow enough the get the insides done and not burn the outside. It is usually used as a breakfast bread by the Irish. Once done, split your wedge spread with butter and jam.

When I only have flour, wheat or white, or both, some baking soda, salt and milk or butter milk, this is what I use for a quick supper bread. Depending on what I am having I have blended in some herb. Not Irish then, I guess. Can put what ever you want in when you split it, like a little sandwich.
