I've been there once, the husband of someone I knew in college grew up there, and we were driving up from California in a snow storm (the worst weather I've ever had to drive in on that trip) so stopped for a nap at his aunt's house. (It was so Boring it put me to sleep.)

OK Gina,

Where did the name of town come from?

There once was guy whose last name is "Boring". I knew his grandson Bill Boring. Yes, he lived in Boring.

Used to accompany Dean Boring a few times (direct descendant, opera singer who inexplicably changed his last name to Wilder. Can you believe he would do that?)

Right now with all this rain it's getting pretty darn boring. Poor trailer's sat in driveway since October. So at the moment Boring, Oregon and much of the rest of the state is boring Oregon.

It is still OK if you can see your trailer thru the window from the Lazy Boy.

Then there is the old stand by... you don't tan there, you rust.
