Cute, plus a photo
IT WAS A DARK, STORMY NIGHT
They were alone in the house. It was a cold, dark stormy night. The storm had come up quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump.
She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance and wished that he would take her in his arm, comfort her, protect her from the storm, she wanted that ... then the power went out.
She screamed.
He raced to the sofa where she was cowering. He did not hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back. He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him. The storm raged on ... as did their growing passion and there came a moment when each knew that they had to be together. They knew it was wrong, their families would not understand, but ....So consumed in their passion they didn't hear the door or the click of the light switch ... the power was back on ...... I dunno
I dunno ... Carol continues to write like that, I'd probably spend more time on this website!
Note to all: Carol and I go way, way, way back ... I had no idea she was capable of writing like this!
I like it!

Oh, I agree, her writing is very, ummm, provocative. It was just the photo I think is better off on the other side of another click.

Note to all: Carol was recently hired to ghostwrite for Harlinquin Romance novels.
Please don't mistake this for x-rated writing. This is romance literature at it's best!

Stop it
Oh, stop it, you're embarrasing me. I'm not really a romance writer.
But I wish I did have more like it.

That joke is for the birds!
The dark and stormy night thing reminds me of the situation I was watching last night.
I have 4 rescued parrots. Two Quaker Parrots and two Nanday Conures. I think they are all female except Pascal, one of the Quakers. The most recent addition is a Nanday Conure named Peace. I think Peace is a girl, but no way to tell by looks. She and Pascal were alone on the top of his cage around 10PM. Pascal closed his eyes and started to try to sleep. Peace decided she wanted to cuddle with him and carefully looked hard to the right while sidling left until she was just inches from Pascal. He woke up, chased her off and settled back down to sleep. As soon as he closed his eyes, Peace started slowly inching back over. She was determined to settle down next to him for the night. He was JUST as determined to sleep alone. This went on for a good 20 minutes before Peace gave up and settled down to sleep as close as Pascal would let her. You could just see them glaring at each other and asking "Why don't you understand?"

Thank you Morgan - I kept going back to that picture and wondering why?
Now about these parrots, JR Holland. I would have loved to have seen the before sleep dance those two were doing. hint hint. add pictures of your dancers in the pet thread.
