Kansas city

Someplace were they have some pretty looking women?

I might take a train, I might take a plane, but if I have to walk
I'm gonna get there just the same!

Oh, the trailers' at night
are white and brite,
deep in the the heart of the campground
some are colors
then there's the others
deep in the heart of the campground!
Some are small, some are tall,
Deep in the heart of the campground!

Sorry for the unfair advantage of those who live in Texas!

Ta-Da

She'll be comin' 'round the mountain when she comes,
when she comes,
She'll be comin' 'round the mountain when she comes,
when she comes
She'll be comin' 'round the mountain, she'll be comin' 'round the mountain, she'll be comin' 'round the mountain when she comes.

She'll be pullin' a fiberglass RV when she comes, when she comes
She'll be pullin' a fiberglass RV when she comes, when she comes
She'll be pullin' a fiberglass , she'll be pulin' a fiberglass,
She'll be pullin' a fiberglass RV when she comes, when she comes

He'll be pullin, with a Suburban when he comes
He'll.......................

Okay, dang it, you finish it!:o

songs

I got one

(chorus)
Beautiful fiberglass trailers.
Beautiful fibreglass trailers,
Beautiful fiberglass trailers,
I'll never love stick ones again.

My Sufside you know that I love her,
love her with all my heart.
Tomorrow we were to go camping,
but ice with snow has kept us apart.

(chorus )

With Charles, snow and ice would not phase him,
He'd camp in his Casita no doubt.
He'd eat and he'd sleep and he'd hug Pam
Happy with no one else about.

(chorus)

songs

it's going to take more than a few bars.

My song was Beautiful Brown Eyes.
I felt sure you could figure it out with the first verse.
I wanted to do a verse for evey one, but Charles is the only one with quirks I know enough about. SO if you want a verse tell me your quirks. Quirks are good things, makes you an individual. Plus I can't remember who's got what trailer. I tried to get a new brain, but I thought they said train, and I ordered a fast one and it keeps derailing.
now I got to go work on a verse for Suz's mountain one.

...I'll never love blue eyes again!

Just finishing the original verse to Jana's song.

I thought I had nailed that one right off the bat, then Morgan threw me for a loop. :wave

Jana, you did good!

old trailer songs

Morgan, what have you done to me, this is all I think about. See if you can guess this one.

an old folk song (rewritten of course).

As I came home the other night, tired as I could be,
I saw a trailer parked in the barn where my boat ought to be.

Oh my wife my pretty, pretty wife, splain this thing to me.
Why's there's a stick trailer parked in the barn where my boat ought to be?

Oh! You! You over worked dude, can't you plainly see,
that's not an old stick trailer, but fiberglass for you and me.

I'll travel near, I'll travel far, I'll traveled the whole world oar.
all because of that Fiberglass Trailer my sweet wife bartered for.

folk song

well I do have an advantage, I married someone AR/MO raised. As my Tom likes to pick he sings this one off and on. It's one of my favorites.
Try this, they will sing it for you.

Course all the words aren't the same as his. Sounds like the tape is almost gone.

Folk Songs

Thank you Jana,
What a gold mine of good ole folk tunes!! You are indeed a jewel.
I have had a very pleasant half hour reading all the words. You're right, the tapes are awfully worn.
Thanks again, Darline:wave

Darline, did you see/hear the other Drunken fool one. it gets pretty ris-kay for a folk song. my Tom say's there is no way he would sing it that way. Glad you injoyed the site. great for when you need words, but forgot, (like always for me)
AND, where is your song re-creation?? :feet

Folk Songs

Yes, I read all the versions. I'm not feeling very creative at the moment, been working too hard on our rental, but I will think of something soon. I lived in Monette, Arkansas until I was 10, so I have heard all of these old songs. Do you remember the Seton Hot Shots? Now I'm really giving away my age.

Seton?

Well you must be really young, I have no idea who or what the Seton Hot Shots? are/is. asked my Tom, and he was at a loss, too.
Monette, Arkansas is right close to Tom's family in Jonesboro and Paragould.

Seton Hot Shots

This group was very popular in AR in the late 30's. They were my favorites. I am young (in my own mind) . Probably second childhood.:wave

Dedicated Follower of Fiberglass

He seeks it here, he seeks it there,
His trailers are round, but never square.

It will make or break him so he's got to buy the best,
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of fiberglass.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).

There's one thing that he loves and that's his camping.
One week he's in Canada, the next week he is in the states.
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of fiberglass.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).

His world is built 'round campgrounds and molded rvs.
This pleasure-seeking individual always looks his best
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of fiberglass.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is
