I'm so old my grade school didn't have a telephone.
I'm so old my grade school didn't have indoor plumbing.
I'm so old I remember $0.04 postage stamps.
I'm so old Talk Radio didn't exist.

Now for some fantasy
I'm so old I had to help create dirt.
I'm so old I'm often called a dinosaur.
I'm so old when someone wants an example of something old, everyone points to me.

I'm so old...

... my first "stereo" had dual cassette tape players, an 8-track player, and a phonograph

... my first album was Twisted Sister (on VINYL!)

... my first gaming console was an Odyssey2

... my first computer was a Commodore 64

... my first "real" computer was a 486/33 w/ dual 3.5" and 5.25" floppy drives

... gas was 99¢/gallon when I got my first car

... we didn't even have cable TV at home, so I missed out on MTV

... adding machines were actually mechanical, not electronic (my grandfather repaired them)

... I got my first "digital" alarm clock from the S&H Greenstamp store (I still use it!)

I am not older than dirt! But when I was a kid dirt was a novelty and rocks had serial numbers. I even had a pet rock named dot. Dot was also it's serial number.

BTW - what's this about dialing telephone numbers? We just gave the number to the nice lady who asked "number please" when we picked up the handset from the hookswitch.

I'm so old that cars I bought new are now for sale under the "antique auto " column in the paper.
