......I remember going grocery shopping with my mom, and our budget for a family of seven for a week was $35.00
I mentioned that to the clerk at the neighborhood store tonight when a few small bags rang up $35.19. (Mom & I used to keep track of the total in our heads as we went the store ... You paid with cash bills then, no checks or debit cards.)

The clerk looked at me, stared, and giggled. Said, "oh.".

She's young.

I'm only young at heart.

I'm so old I can remember when you could buy a brand new Ford for $1500.00, complete with heat and AM radio, the gas to put in it was .06, and I worked at my uncle's gas station pumping gas, cleaning windshields, and even checked the oil and tires if requested.

In all fairness, Frederick, we only had to dial five numbers when we had that phone.
Or, dial "O" for long distance.....

I'm so old, half of what I learned in school is obsolete... and I've forgotten the other half.

I'm so old that I remember..... Tom Mix at the Sat afternoon matinee. AND it only cost 10 cents. And Coca Cola cost a nickel for a 6 oz bottle. AND my allowance was a nickel a week.
OK that's one movie every two weeks or one coke a week. I was heart broken when coke went up a penny.
