A Winter Poem

It's winter in Canada
And the gentle breezez blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below

OH, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut

YES' the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
Icould never leave
I'm frozen to the ground

Sounds like the winter I spent in Churchill when I was a kid and polar bears weren't tourist attractions. (and they'd shoot rockets into the aurora borealis)

I was 9 and it was pretty neat. (Only one day that winter was the school closed - white-out conditions, unsafe to send kids to a school they couldn't see. Being kids we thought that was great - we went out and played in the snow drifts.)
