Mini van towing / truck bashing

Kinda funny/ironic. Guess times are a changing.

A poster on another RV forum made this post..... "Here we go again, bashing truck owners. Really gets old. Remember the thread is about minivan towing."

For those who are interested in the whole thread it is here....

not surprised there is a lot of promoting of Can-Am in the link provided.

Best quote in the whole thread is "Not long ago, a thread including this subject was closed because it became ugly. "...... seems to me thats happened here more than once as well!

It has been said that "beauty is only skin deep" ...The thinner the skin the quicker the ugly is exposed.

I wasn't aware that the base weight of an Airstream Bambi was 2810 pounds. That makes them about 1,000 pounds heavier than a comparable sized Casita. My 17 footer claims an 1800 pound base weight. I thought the reason they used aluminum was because it was light!

Terry, some trivia.... in 1962 the first 16' Bambi weighed 1,875lbs. Now the 16' is over 3,000lbs. The shell on the new ones has a thinner gauge aluminum than the shell on the 62 model. The shells are quite light. It's what's inside them that fattens them up.

Well an Airstream does have a much thinner skin than a fiberglass trailer. And the nice shiny new Airstreams per MC1 have the thinnest yet!
