Cool Cholesterol & Bacon

One thing I always wondered, cows eat nothing but vegetables, grass, etc, and yet they are loaded with cholesterol. Why is that?

When I was a kid and food was actually good for you, my mother always laid a strip of bacon on top of her meat loaf.
