I personally live one of those weird friendships.. or, I should say, one of my dogs and the cat do. When I brought a kitten home recently, my big brutus tuff guy male Beagle melted and became the cats "Daddy". He is not so protective and cuddly with him now, but when the cat was a "puppy", boy, you had to ask the dog permission to pick him up..

Well, it would appear as tho I am living a real life animal bond oddity right now.

My cat has "adopted" a loose rabbit. Now, I am pretty sure this isn't the Easter Bunny, but he has appeared in my back yard and is quite comfy with Beagles barking at him, and my cat playing with him and following him around. And Visa Versa. He doesn't seem to be scared of me either, but I can't handle him. He hops away a few steps if I get too close.

I am trying to figure out how to trap the bunny, as it won't last long in coyote town here. He is obviously a lost or abandoned pet, he is too tame to be wild and he doesn't look a thing like the brown wild ones I see here.

So far he has rejected carrots, but taken wilted limp old celery and broccoli

Thanks for that! I love cat and crow, cat and rabbit! I have also seen cat and bear (cat chasing bear) and cat and moose (nose to nose).

We are a cat-loving family, and have realized lately that if the humans were ten or twenty pounds, and the cat 100 or 200 pounds... Miss Kitty would be pleased to devour us -- crunchy bones and all.

I am guessing with cat and crow that the crow had been interrupted in its parental role, then saw a small black creature and heard it (understood it was) hungry? Anyway, that was a lovely, amazing video.

Just today we heard, saw and video-taped a young woodpecker rat-a-tatting on a metal street light -- now was he singin' a Spring Song, or is he that much of a bird-brain?

Wilson caught him! He was playing and sat on him. I took the opportunity and grabbed.

Wabbit is living in a kennel in the trailer until his foster home people get home from church.

Cats and Dogs really do have good relationships with each other most of the time. I have generally always had at least one of each simultaneously, except for the past few years until I brought this orange guy home.

I had no issues with introductions or get alongs. My male Sticky and the cat are good friends and sleep together and also do the sort of grooming behavior as in that video.

This is typical in my house.. much to my dismay at bedtime
