I am not licensed for okra. In fact, no one in my family has ever had an okra permit though my mother did use the underground once or twice but in the current climate we need to be careful to avoid subtrefuge. I think I'll leave those little green devils wherever they are for someone to spray paint and sell to the touristas. I'm definately okra-challenged! :reyes

You could put on an okra workshop at Fountainhead State Park this fall. Its a beautiful place and you wouldn't have far to go.:)

Okra (hibiscus esculentus), tall, tropical plant having edible mucilaginous green pods. Native to West Africa, where it is known as nkruma. In southern portions of the United States it is eaten and sometime elevated to cult-like status, while in the north it is generally reviled and used as the source of endless jokes and contumely. In Canada, the larger pods are sometimes frozen and used as tent stakes or as wheel chocks for small travel trailers.

Never fear, I do not, and I repeat, DO NOT eat dried okra. it's to stringy. Now I might be able to find Fountainhead. I think my map search goes that far.
