Here's one I use all the time: Never ask a question you don't want the answer to.

Couple more.

People who think they know it all really annoy those of us that do.
We are not passengers on Spaceship Earth, we are crew.
Get in, sit down, shut up, and HANG ON!!!

And one more from one of my kid's movies:

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it present.

I live by this quote...

"When it comes to information, I'm full of it."

...Exidor (of Mork & Mindy fame)

"Why is it that we get so soon old and so late smart." OR "don't forget to hire a teenager while they still know everything" . How about "the hurrier I go, the behinder I get" and "always drink upstream from the cattle"

Don't try to teach a pig to sing. It'll only frustrate you and annoy the pig.

One of my favorites:
Be careful what you ask for...you may get it.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

The first Journeyman I ever worked with (name was Bud) used to always tell me

"You can take a horse to water but a pencil must be lead"

I never did figure out what that meant!
