Wow, that's quicker and smoother than I can back a trailer on the first try!

Besides the breakaway switch they should have had safety chains. We dropped a trailer back in the '70's going over a small wooden bridge. The trailer wasn't heavy enough for brakes. It came off the hitch, but the chains held fast and no damage was done to the tow vehicle or the trailer.

I would love to learn what that link was about but somehow it's not leading me there. I get an error message. Can anyone point me there again? THANKS!

Christine,

The link should lead you to an "exit" page from this forum. You can then click about halfway down the page on a button that says "Continue to External Link".

If that doesn't help, I'm afraid I am out of ideas.

Thank you!! That's exactly what it was. I hope I remember that in the future!

Very funny. This shows why there are laws, rules and safety items when it comes to towing a trailer.
