Comment from a woman seeing our 13' Scamp at a campground: "Looks like you picked that one before it got ripe!"
Question from another camper after finding out that our group was called the Egg Camping Club: "Oh, so you're all egg farmers who get together to go camping?"

Your post reminded me of a litle trivia. Just today we returned from camping 4 days at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington State. Going to Port Townsend I once again noticed a rural road named "Egg and I Road".
Many years ago, I read about the road and drove it just for kicks, because it was the actual road to the actual egg farm where author Betty McDonald lived and later wrote the amusing book, " The Egg and I."
And I don't want any smart aleck responses about how old I must be to remember the book!

Just smile and go along with it. The clueless will always be clueless.
We were askd how many our Scamp 5er sleeps - REAL condescendingly - they had the ginormous Motor Home....
Straight faced I said - "20." - and he gave me a REAL funny look..
then.....
wait for it..... wait for it......
then I added "just 2 at a time"
the WIFE half of the other camper nearly fell out of her chair laughing. I suppose she has had a long standing issue with hubby. He scowled and I never heard another peep from him.

My wife always tells them our Casita has everyting their bulgemobile has: full galley, full bath, full walkaround bed. She doesn't tell them she has to go outside to walk around it.

That's funny right there I don't care who you are.
I'll have to remember that one.

When we used our Liberty with the King Bed, we were asked how big our bed was. When we said King Bed and they saw it .. they would say ... "it's bigger than ours" ... they usually were in a large motor home. Now we can say we have twin beds so we can walk around.

People need to understand that these are still just eggs. Once they hatch, they will grow into large motor homes. You just have to wait for it.

Response to "....how many can it sleep?"
Depends on how the table is set-up: if the kids are playing ping pong or pool inside.
Well, a lot depends on the fireplace and if you like to sleep in the loft.
Upstairs or downstairs?
etc.

...and whether the Jacuzzi is set up or not. That can really reduce the number a 13-footer can sleep...at least in the downstairs wing....

I know I am not the only one that gets this...
folks ask to see the inside, and inevitably, this is how it goes when they step in
Looker: Wow
Me: *Silence*
Looker: It's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside
Since I have mine configed differently than standard.. it's unexpected. Most folks have an isolated, or somewhat hidden bedroom, which mine would have if it was standard, but the "Bedroom" is my living room, and the front dinette is what appears to be a gaucho when not in sleep mode. Many folks immediately sit there, as it looks to be the couch.
Looker: I don't mean to be personal, but where do you sleep?
Me: You are sitting on my bed
Most folks jump up and apologize, like its some sort of privacy violation
Me: Its OK, its supposed to be a couch during the day. Then they sit back down
