Winter in Indiana

It's winter in Indiana,
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Indiana,
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
So, I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Indiana,
Cuz I'm frozen to the ground.

Roy, I do sympathize with your bleak situation, but that poem has me giggling out loud.

All you southern folk keep complaining. I'm from where it gets cold, Wisconsin!

I saw from -28°F to +106°F.

Winds that can lift a roof and trap a ski between it and the wall.

Ice so thick, twigs on trees are like pencils, the twig is the lead and the wood is the ice.

Mosquitos? I was being carried off by two mosquitos one night. They were talking about me:
"Should we eat him here or take him home"
"Let's eat him here. If we take him home the big ones will take him away from us."
